One day, two farmers fought over a land plot which was famous to be the best of the village. Each of them could claim their right of ownership but it was impossible to decide between them. They fought during many years, without ever find a compromise and their quarrel was prompting the villagers to joke. Their names have been forgotten today, but the land survived them and remained the same.

Terroir: pure chalk
During a very dry summer, a farmer was digging a furrow to drive the water of the river to his lands. There were many obstacles to slow him and his fields continued to dry out desperately. He was about to give up when two other farmers offered to join their strengths to the work. The three men worked together and passed through all of the pitfalls, they quickly completed the furrow and the harvests had been saved.
